Although most nVidia and ATi dominate the press, largely unnoticed – heard but also Intel – by many of the world’s largest manufacturers of graphics chips. And so, also the world’s largest chipmaker works constantly to improve of its graphics accelerator – among other things to improve the G965.

Because Intel has now announced that it has published G965 integrated graphics core a new pre-beta driver for the in the so-called “Broadwater” chipset, which allows the owner of such use also the hardware accelerated “transform & lightning” and the shader model 2.0. So far but only on Windows XP, because the new driver is only for use with this operating system. For Windows Vista, you would like to publish a corresponding driver but in a few weeks.
