Prices for the use of the Internet were after notification of the Statis­tischen Federal Office (Destatis) annual 2007 to 5.3 per cent below the level of 2006. Compared to the corresponding month of previous year’s prices for Internet activity fell in December 2007 to 4.9 per cent.

Over the previous month, the prices remained stable. Mobile phones cheaper is the annual average 2007 compared to 2.4 percent in 2006. In December 2007 the prices of mobile phones to 0.7 per cent were lower than in December 2006. From November to December 2007 prices remained unchanged. The price index for telephone services in the fixed compared to the year was 2006 to 1.7 per cent higher in 2007. In December 2007 increased the prices of the calls to a landline when compared with the corresponding month of last year by 1.7 percent. Prices by 0.3 percent dropped over the previous month.

The price index for telecommunication services total (fixed line, mobile and Internet) was from the perspective of households in 2007 by 0.4 percent over the prior-year level. In December 2007 increased the total index compared to December 2006 by 0.8 percent. From November to December 2007 decreased the overall index to 0.2 per cent.
