Iomega, maker of data stores of all kinds, presented the new Iomega HDD 250GB-Laufwerk. The external storage Iomega family has therefore become richer to an another portable drive for mobile users.

The lean 250GB-Festplatte is itself only a fraction larger than a PDA. With interface connector dimensions on 31, 7 mm (H) amount x 114, 3 mm (W) x 184, 1 mm (L) with a weight of CA. 906 grams and has either USB 2.0 or FireWire port available. The interface ports can be exchanged here easily, so that the drive under different operating systems can be used. Under USB 2.0 provides the drive transfer rates of 25 MB per second, with FireWire 32 MB per second. Turns the 250 GB HDD very quickly for an external hard drive with 7200 RPM and allows play applications directly from the drive. Like all Iomega drives, also the HDD is easy to install 250 GB and to use. In addition, the drive is accompanied by software solutions for storing and securing data. Iomega automatic backup and Symantec Norton Ghost 2003 software allows the user to select certain files for backup or restore the entire system after a disk crash.
