Prices for NAND Flash
A two-day loss of production in a Toshiba work have increased the average price of NAND Flash chips of high-capacity by almost four percent. This will have impact on numerous products, ranging from the USB stick of SSDs to Smartphones.
The failure of the Japanese work – caused by a power outage – means a loss of production from 10 to 20 percent for Toshiba, this a decline of around three to seven percent would be considered around the world. Consumers are likely to get to feel the higher prices but not until early 2011.
If prices fall but then again, is questionable at the moment. By the tensions between North and South Korea have been speculation kicked, according to which Samsung could possibly have problems through an examination of the two States.
By increasing capacity – in the coming year new factories will start the production, in addition, the width of the structure is partially reduced – global demand should be satisfied but nevertheless. On the Japanese store Exchange DRAMeXchange it is assumed that the demand will rise in the coming year as compared to 2010 to about 78 percent.
