At the today’s release party of the Xbox version of Doom 3 no less than Todd Hollenshead, answer standing guests, announced that it a playable multiplayer version of the hotly anticipated Quake to the QuakeCon 2005, which will take place from 11 to 14 August in Dallas, will be 4.

Because it is in this year the ten-year anniversary of the QuakeCon, one has planned other surprises, but nothing was betrayed to do this, of course.

We’ll have multiplayer to play Quake IV, and because it’s also the 10-year anniversary of QuakeCon, we’ll have a few other surprises as well.

Id Software has according to Tim Willits already now a playable multiplayer version of Quake 4, which is being developed by Raven software. As it says it is at id Software also been diligently going to test the upcoming action firecrackers. Quake 4 is however not the only game which currently id Software takes care in the home of a sensation:
