Rumors about Windows XP schedule

Rumours of unofficial schedules from Microsoft, regarding the development plan of Windows XP, the joint successor to Windows 2000 and Windows Me, are now to increase in the net.

Therefore, Microsoft has internal set following plan for the Windows XP Professional and Home Edition:

  • 07 June – release candidate 2
  • July 25 – ready to manufacturing
  • October – in the shops available

If these rumors are confirmed Microsoft would have moved the plans such as the availability of the new operating system thus by two months, from August in the October, rear. This would not be surprising, because both Beta 1 and Beta 2 have been released already much later than originally planned on the beta tester.
