Taiwanese manufacturer stay with Android
Many cell phone manufacturers before Windows phone 7 scare back according to a report of the Taiwanese IT daily of DigiTimes. The medium- and long-term plans that are focused on Android are one of the reasons.
Manufacturers who for the time being wish to waive the new smartphone operating system, among other things, Foxconn, Qisda (BenQ), Inventec (Toshiba and Acer), Pegatron (ASUS) include technology and ARIMA communications. The investments of the next two to three years would be focused on Android, which would ensure higher and above all more secure revenue due to the large market share and the high potential. Also, by Windows phone 7 additional cost would result through the necessary licenses. In contrast to Android fees will be charged for this.
Whether the setting of the manufacturer on a success of the new operating system from the home of Microsoft will change, may be doubted. On the one hand, they see HTC with Windows phone a future 80 percent up to share 7 as the clear number one, in addition to the one difficult can establish itself. On the other hand it is considered unlikely that Microsoft will reduce the license fee.
