Windows Vista Beta 2 cancelled
Microsoft has cancelled the planned Beta 2 of the upcoming “Vista” operating system. Wants you to focus instead more on intermediate versions, so-called community technology previews (CTPs), to find and eliminate mistakes and other inconsistencies.
At Microsoft, one hopes a better feedback of the mentioned user by this step. The CTP versions are generally less stable than the beta versions. The next CTP is expected to be published in February and is aimed primarily at companies which adoption program (TAP) participate in the technology.
The home, provided so Microsoft, only in the second quarter with an interim version in the context of the customer preview program (CPP) for extensive testing. The two planned variants and all upcoming CTP releases are however bear the additional statement “Beta 2″ in the name. The final version of Windows Vista in the second half of 2006 to appear according to the current roadmap.
